Contributor Connectivity
ETS Connect UK provides a single, open, and standards-based interface for all contributors to the UK bond Consolidated Tape. The provided materials are intended to assist contributors in preparing their organisation and systems for integration with the UK bond CT.
The draft Contributor ‘Prod & UAT Onboarding process’ document summarises the draft technical and legal onboarding steps, and support arrangements.
The draft legal documentation is split into UAT terms and Production terms.
The technical documentation sets out the requirements for real-time data submission and the connectivity model that will support resilient, dual-region operation. Our commitment to a single open-source standards-based FIX API is based on feedback from industry regarding the risks that proprietary APIs, even when offered as an optional extra, can introduce fragmentation, create perceptions of vendor lock-in, and lead to uneven connectivity models across the industry. The draft technical documentation comprises:
- Technical Connectivity Guide
- FIX Rules of Engagement (RoE)
The Technical Connectivity guide, RoE and terms will be finalised before the start of contributor onboarding.
Contributor API
ETS Connect UK strongly supports open standards for connectivity that are aligned with established industry practices. We reject the use of optional proprietary APIs and propose to exclusively adopt the FIX Trading Community’s Recommended Practices for the UK Bond Consolidated Tape as our sole API.
We will confirm our final API rules on 31 March 2026, following a review of our proposal by the ETS Connect UK Consultative Committee.
For key milestones, please see the timeline.
