Contributor Connectivity
ETS Connect UK provides a single, open, and standards-based interface for all contributors to the UK bond Consolidated Tape. The contributor documentation, including the draft API Specification and the Contributor Connectivity Guide, sets out the technical requirements for real-time data submission and the connectivity model that will support resilient, dual-region operation.
Our commitment to a single open-source standards-based API is based on feedback from industry regarding the risks that proprietary APIs, even when offered as an optional extra, can introduce fragmentation, create perceptions of vendor lock-in, and lead to uneven connectivity models across the industry.
The provided materials are intended to assist contributors in preparing their systems for integration with the UK bond CT. The API is being developed in collaboration with the FIX Trading Community to ensure that the final interface reflects industry standards, supports efficient implementation, and reinforces the principle that the consolidated tape should operate as a neutral market infrastructure, accessible to all on equal terms.
These draft APIs will be finalised before start of contributor on-boarding. For precise dates, please see the timeline.
